Description:

Delivered by the Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing, the PhD program in Urban Health prepares graduates to become effective leaders in research, policy and practice. It offers learning innovation that empowers students to collaborate across disciplines, generate robust evidence and create responsive solutions to advance the health and well-being of diverse populations living in urban centres.

    Completion of a master’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum grade point average (GPA) or equivalent of 3.33/4.33 (B+) in the master’s program
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment
    Application Notes : If you have not completed two or more years, full-time, at a Canadian university or a university at which English was the primary language of instruction, or have not completed a graduate degree at a university where English was the primary language of instruction, you will be required to provide certification of English language proficiency through one of the accepted examinations listed below. Scores are valid for two years from the test date. It is important to understand that meeting the minimum English proficiency requirements does not guarantee admission. Programs may set additional requirements to these minimum standards. For exemption from this requirement, applicants are required to provide an official statement from their institutions Registrar's office confirming the use of English as the Medium of Instruction for the duration of their study.
