Description:

The Community Health Sciences (MPH) program was designed to meet the needs of local health professionals who wish to further their knowledge in the areas of public and population health. Through innovative core and elective courses and a supervised field placement, the Community Health Sciences (MPH) program equips students with the knowledge and skills to enhance career development in public health.

    The following are minimum requirements to be considered for entry into the Master of Public Health program. Meeting these requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

    To be considered for admission, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

    1. Educational Background:
    • A minimum of a four-year bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in health sciences or allied health professions.
    • Honours degrees in biological or social sciences are also accepted.
    1. Work Experience:
    • At least three years of paid work experience in the public health field.

    Further Information:

    To study as a graduate student at the University of Manitoba:

    1.   You must demonstrate English language proficiency

    AND

    2.   You must have a four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized college or university with a minimum "B" average (3.0) in the last 60 credit hours or equivalent. 

    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based)
