Description:

The first degree Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Nunavut Cohort, offered through a partnership between the Nunavut Arctic College Social Service Worker Program (NAC-SSWP) and the Memorial University School of Social Work (MUN-SSW), is a full-time program, comprised of course work and two field practica (the first of which is completed prior to admission to the BSW, Nunavut Cohort).

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or pass the appropriate Arctic College placement exams with acceptable scores. Mature candidates (21 years of age or older) who do not meet such academic requirements will also be considered.

    • Letter(s) of Reference
    • Statement of Research Interests
    Three letters of reference must be submitted as well as a statement of interest in the Social Services Worker field. A criminal record check must also be completed.
