Description:

On this course, you’ll explore a variety of topics, such as climate change, biodiversity conservation, poverty reduction and food security, and learn how theory, policy, power and action can help improve equity and reconcile the tensions between environmental conservation and human development. With a broad interdisciplinary approach and integrating social and natural sciences, you’ll be prepared to enter a range of development fields, from environmental protection to sustainable natural resource management and rural livelihood improvement. The placement year offered as a component of this course gives you experience of what your career could hold.     Students studying for Canadian High School or Secondary School Diplomas, usually completing study in the twelfth grade, will be considered for entry to our undergraduate degree programmes. Most courses will require an overall score of between 70% and 80%.

    For some disciplines, a slightly lower average percentage may be considered. Holders of the Diplome d'Etudes Collegiales (from Quebec) will also be considered.
