Description:

Unearth the mysteries of our planet and delve deep into the wide-ranging subject of geophysics. From the skies and seas to earthquakes, volcanoes and the deep interior of the world, you’ll learn about the Earth’s many different systems and processes, as well as the ways in which they control and shape our environment. You’ll also have the exciting opportunity to gain valuable working experience on a placement year, helping you continue to develop your skills and boosting your employability after graduation even further. Our BSc Geophysics with a Placement Year is accredited by the Geological Society. Our BSc Geophysics with a Placement Year is ranked 25th for Earth and Marine Sciences by ‘The Guardian 2022’ and is ranked in the top 20 for Geology by 'The Complete University Guide 2022'.

Students studying for Canadian High School or Secondary School Diplomas, usually completing study in the twelfth grade, will be considered for entry to our undergraduate degree programmes. Most courses will require an overall score of between 70% and 80%.

For some disciplines, a slightly lower average percentage may be considered. Holders of the Diplome d'Etudes Collegiales (from Quebec) will also be considered.
