Description:

For centuries, contemporary culture has taught us to think and speak in ways that can perpetuate conflict, pain and even violence. This course in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) combines practical skills with consciousness and vocabulary to help you get what you want peacefully.

NVC is about connecting with ourselves and others from the heart. It is about seeing the humanity in all of us. It is about recognizing our commonalities and differences and finding ways to make life wonderful for all of us. With NVC we learn to hear our own deeper needs and those of others. Through its emphasis on deep listening, to ourselves as well as to others, NVC helps us to discover the depth of our own compassion. This language reveals the awareness that all human beings are only trying to honour universal values and needs.
