Echo is a two-year graduate service program that offers participants the opportunity to earn an MA in Theology from the University of Notre Dame's Department of Theology, to serve the Church as a parish catechetical leader or as a theology teacher in a Catholic school, and to live in an intentional faith community while engaging in integrative spiritual formation.


These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

    Echo looks for candidates who meet the following requirements.

    • Receive a bachelor's degree by June 1.
    • Complete 6.0 prerequisite credits in theology or religious studies by June 1
    • Earn at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale in your undergraduate degree.
    • Take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
    • Be a fully initiated member of the Catholic Church
