The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences has a vibrant research program encompassing four broad areas: Environmental Engineering, Environmental Fluid Dynamics, Environmental Geosciences, and Structural Engineering. We have state-of-the-art laboratories and computing facilities, which we use to address many of the grand challenges facing society in the 21st century.
