| If you work in international development and climate change policy and practice, this is the course to further your career. You’ll address multiple dimensions including international policy frameworks on climate change such as urban climate change governance, adaptation and mitigation choices and pathways, linking climate change mitigation and development, carbon trade, climate change and poverty reduction, trade-offs and synergies, and local responses to extreme events and disasters. You’ll be taught by a team of internationally renowned natural scientists, policy analysts and economists. Your course material will draw upon existing and ongoing research and applied work through the School of International Development and the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research. The interdisciplinary approach of the course ensures you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with the School of Environmental Sciences through science-based modules on climate change. |

| Application Notes : | We welcome applications from students whose first language is not English. To ensure such students benefit from postgraduate study, we require evidence of proficiency in English. Our usual entry requirements are as follows:
- IELTS: 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in only two components with 6.0 in the others)
- PTE (Pearson): 64 (minimum 59 in two components only with 64 in the others)
Test dates should be within two years of the course start date.

| Additional Admission Requirements: | 2.1 or equivalent in Social Science is required.
Applicants should normally have a good undergraduate degree from a recognised higher education institution. The University will also take into account the employment experience of applicants where relevant.
