Description:

This master’s degree in public safety leadership and administration with a concentration in emergency medical services – mobile integrated healthcare program is designed for students interested in entrepreneurial and leadership roles in emergency care systems. This program focuses on mobile healthcare delivery and community paramedicine. Throughout this program, you’ll learn strategies for improving and designing emergency medical systems that better serve your community.

Your education in this emergency medical services – mobile integrated healthcare concentration will be geared toward present-day objectives of emergency medical care. You’ll learn how to implement solutions to improve the patient care experience in mobile integrated healthcare. With a master’s degree in emergency medicine, you’ll be in a position to compete for employment opportunities in public, private and nonprofit EMS agencies. This degree also allows you to explore other opportunities in hospitals and behavioral and social service agencies.

Prerequisites:

    You can apply for this master’s in emergency medicine program if you have earned a bachelor's or master's degree in criminology or criminal justice, public administration or public service, sociology or social work, public safety or fire service management, parks and recreation management, applied sciences or another closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university.

    You must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA in the last 60 hours of your bachelor's program. Alternatively, you must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA in an applicable master's degree.

    Applicants must provide:
  • Graduate application and application fee.
  • Official transcripts.
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • Written statement (at least one page in length, describing educational and career goals, as well as a long-term professional development strategy).
  • Evidence of current employment in an organization in this field, or at least two years prior professional experience in this or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in a related area.
  • Proof of English proficiency (for students whose native language is not English).
