This specially designed course enables you to make an informed choice about which design subject you wish to study at degree level, giving successful students the opportunity for guaranteed progression onto a named BA programme at Middlesex University.
The Foundation Year in 3D Design is a creative and inspiring multidisciplinary course encouraging students to explore different aspects of design. It builds confidence, helps students identify their strengths and develops skills and techniques. The course offers an experimental diagnostic approach exploring different creative pathways and clarifies industry specialisms to help students choose possible career paths in the creative industries. |

Undergraduate applicants from Canada will need to have completed one of the following:
- International Baccalaureate Diploma
- High School Diploma or Secondary School Diploma or a Diplôme d'Etudes Collègiales (DEC) with at least 5 grade 12 courses with 60% or higher depending on the subject you are applying for
- High School Diploma and scores of 3+ on at least two Advanced Placement exams
- Satisfactorily completion of one year of college/university level study with minimum GPA of 3.0
- Professional Diploma from a technical school (2 years post-secondary in a specialised field of study)
Students who have completed the two-year Associate degree may be eligible for advanced standing onto the second year of an undergraduate degree course. |
| Additional Admission Requirements: |
- Portfolio of drawings, visual research, design thinking and independent creative projects, which demonstrate evidence of previous production and creative practice
- As far as possible, students are invited to attend for an interview and will be offered the opportunity to view our specialist facilities and meet appropriate staff
- Applications from mature candidates without formal qualifications are welcomed provided they can demonstrate appropriate levels of relevant ability and experience
