Description:

Trillium College’s Accounting & Payroll Administration (APA) diploma program gives you knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices specific to the Canadian marketplace. You will receive hands-on training in manual and computerized accounting systems and industry bookkeeping software.

Trillium College’s APA program prepares graduates to qualify as a nationally recognised Payroll Compliance Practitioner* (PCP) with the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). Students who finish the academic requirements, but have not yet obtained the work experience requirement are referred to as “PCP Candidates”. In order to become properly certified, a Work Experience Requirement Application (WERA) must be filled out. PCP Candidates are skilled yet still need practical hands-on experience. Employers value PCP Candidates for many entry-level positions. A PCP candidate information card can be obtained from the CPA website and used to assist with your job search. Please keep in mind that the CPA’S passing mark is a 65%.
