Description:

An Electrician is a Red Seal Trade Qualified worker. Our modular program provides entry level skilled training in the electrical field. It creates opportunities for apprentice electricians to gain employable lifetime skills and provides employers with a highly skilled and experienced workforce while strengthening British Columbia's economy.

Electricians install, alter, repair and maintain electrical systems designed to provide heat, light, power, control, signal or fire alarm for all types of building and premises. This program is the third year theoretical component of the four year program. Upon successful completion and passing the ITA exam, students will receive certification as a third year apprentice.

Prerequisites:

    Required: Grade 12/GED or mature student status, successful completion of admissions interview and assessments and a strong interest in a career within the construction industry.
