Description:

The Construction Project Management Diploma provides students with practical construction knowledge and project management skills in the construction industry. The courses in this program will cover technical drawing graphics, building code, construction estimating, analysis of construction costs, and project quality control time. Aspects of task and time scheduling for developing, monitoring, and controlling construction projects will be explored. The program also includes several courses based around Project Management Institute® (PMI®) principles, providing students with a strong theoretical and practical foundation for professional project management.

Upon successful completion of the program, students are primarily suitable for employment with contractors or at local construction firms, engineering firms, and governmental agencies. Employment opportunities and further studies may be pursued in the fields of engineering, building science, architecture, and computer-aided design.

    Applicants are required to have a high school diploma (or equivalent) or mature student status; Grade 10 Math, or pass the college mathematics assessment; and Grade 10 English or pass the college admissions test.
