Description:

This diploma is designed for students seeking to develop lives of meaning, purpose, and faith. The goal is spiritual formation that shapes the heart, soul, mind, and body towards missional living that will change the world.

The diploma builds on the 30-credit-hour Certificate of Christian Foundations and serves as the foundation for the 128-credit-hour Bachelor of Theology, Bachelor of Religious Education, and Bachelor of Sacred Literature.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants should be Christian men and women who are intent on learning more of God, His Son, and the Christian Scriptures, have made a profession of faith in Christ and desire to learn about service to Christ and people and possess a grade 12 diploma or its recognized equivalent. If English is not your first language, a 60% in Alberta English 30 is required.

    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 90]
    Application Notes : Students must provide proof of English language competency equal to or exceeding Canadian Language Benchmark 8 or a score of at least 90 (internet based test iBT) on the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) or 60% Alberta English 30.

    Applicants must submit a 300–400 word statement (testimony) outlining the following: your general background; faith journey and religious experience; educational goals and expectations; and your reasons for wanting to attend Alberta Bible College. Applicants must also submit two references. The pastoral reference not be related to you and should be someone over the age of 25. A work supervisor, teacher or guidance counsellor, or family friend, are some ideas of people you could ask to serve as your Employer or Professional Acquaintance Reference. Your professional reference should not be related to you and should be someone over the age of 25. A youth leader, teacher, church elder, or pastor, are some ideas of people you could ask to serve as your Pastor or Church Leader Reference.
