That's right -- IE University's Madrid and Segovia campuses are open and ready for you!

During 2020, IE University worked tirelessly to ensure that students attending classes on campus are able to do so safely. All of the buildings and facilities that make up IE's campuses in Madrid and Segovia received a redesign to accommodate the health and safety requirements and recommendations.

Students now have the flexibility to study in class or online, and from anywhere in the world, without compromising the excellence in higher education offered by IE.

Maintaining IE's standard of excellence

IE's measures are kept up-to-date with health protection regulations. The IE Experience has been maintained with the introduction of new innovative measures; the Liquid Learning model, the COVID-tracer app, and many more! This has ensured the continuity of classes, and the health and safety of our students, professors, and staff. At IE University, we're fully prepared and ready!

Health measures in place to keep you safe

In order to protect the health and wellbeing of our community and guarantee safety on our campus, we have reinforced our health protocol with measures that go beyond current health regulations.

Each member of the IE University community must make a daily self-assessment of COVID-19 symptoms before accessing the campus. Everyone on campus must wear a protective mask at all times, follow WHO hygiene recommendations, practice physical distancing of more than 1.5 meters, and follow classroom rules.

Health and safety are a priority for IE University. Learn more about the health measures in place at IE.

Redesigning IE facilities to ensure a safe campus

In addition to the robust personal safety measures IE has put in place, thermographic cameras have been installed at the entrances of campus buildings. Should an individual have an above-normal temperature, they must return home in accordance with their ethical commitment to the health of others, and the medical service will be notified so that the "suspected case" protocol can be activated.

Classrooms have been adapted to a hybrid learning model, timetables have been adjusted for students outside Spain, and more. Not to mention the brand-new IE Tower in downtown Madrid!

Liquid Learning: the future of education

The Liquid Learning model is at the heart of every program, offering our students a dynamic and cutting-edge learning experience that flows freely between the physical and digital worlds. Now, motivated students can access a world-class higher education wherever they are or whatever their current professional and personal situation.

Students are empowered to lead their own learning and professional journey, supported by faculty with extensive experience in leveraging innovative technologies for teaching purposes. Life on campus also holds many opportunities for intellectual, personal and professional development that the IE experience offers our students.

So, whether it's online, offline, synchronous, asynchronous, in Madrid or anywhere else in the world, our Hybrid Class model gives students the freedom to flow between environments and situations. This model makes the IE Experience accessible to everyone by bringing together curricular and extracurricular activities, cognitive and emotional approaches, and active and reflective learning, seamlessly blending them into a transformational educational experience.
