Earning a university degree is one of the biggest accomplishments and most valued commitments you’ll ever make. Let us help you focus on your academic goals and ease any financial worries.

One of the easiest funding opportunities is through entrance scholarships. Think of these as a pat on the back for all the hard work you did in high school. At Nipissing, more than 64% of our first year students receive an entrance scholarship. These scholarships are guaranteed to students with high academic marks and can carry over into the following years. If you get the marks, you get the money!

Bursaries and awards are also a great source of funding as they focus on things aside from grades like extra-curricular involvement or volunteerism. There is such a diverse list that you’re bound to find something that applies to you. It’s as easy as filling out an application or going on a campus tour. Make sure to submit your application by May 1, 2017 for a chance to receive up to $10,000. Additional places to look for funding include your employer or your parent’s workplace and various organizations within your community.

Another option for financial aid is through government assistance programs such as The Ontario Assistance Program (OSAP). There are many grants and loans available to those who meet the eligibility requirements. Furthermore, look into finding on-campus work study programs such as the NUWork program at Nipissing. They offer ideal jobs for students as the 10 hour work weeks and flexible schedules allow you to focus on your studies while also earning additional income.

Now, put student financial stress to bed and ace those applications!
