Discover the advantages of a Scottish Degree with the University of Strathclyde

If you’re someone who craves adventure but also wants a great education, then you’ve probably considered studying abroad. In your search for where to study abroad, have you considered Scotland? The University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland could be the perfect place for you! Between the wealth of culture in Glasgow and the advantages of studying at our university, a Scottish degree may be exactly what you’re looking for. Discover the benefits of studying at the University of Strathclyde:

1. Flexible BA degree

At the University of Strathclyde, we offer our students a unique opportunity to cater your degree to your interests. With our flexible BA degree, you can explore a combination of subjects that complement each other, guiding your studies in the direction you want. You can choose from subjects in Humanities, Social Sciences, and Business. We offer 4-year Bachelor’s within our Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Science, including our MPharm which is popular among Canadian students.

So, how does this work? Picture your degree like a funnel. You’ll begin your first year studying three different subjects. In your second year you’ll filter down your subjects and specialize in two of the three you studied in your first year. Then, in your third year, you’ll either continue with both of the subjects from your second year, or you can narrow it down to one. Your fourth year would be considered your honours year. Just like in Canada, the BA degree is a three-year program, and the Honours degree is normally a four-year program.
