Entrance scholarships for new Canadian students
Entrance awards are offered to Canadian students who head to Algoma directly after graduating from high school. So if your plan is to finish grade 12, then start university after summer break, you might qualify for an entrance scholarship.
The best part? These awards are automatic, meaning you don't need to apply! If you qualify, you'll receive the award.
Algoma University Awards of Excellence
Awards of Excellence are based on your high school average or International Baccalaureate (IB) program diploma. If you maintain good grades while an Algoma student, you could continue receiving these awards into your second, third, and fourth years of study!
|Your average grades ||IB points ||Award level ||Scholarship funding
| 95% or higher || 40 or higher ||Platinum ||$4,000

| 85% to 85.9% || 32 to 35 ||Silver ||$2,500

There are plenty of other entrance scholarships available at Algoma, so don't worry if you don't have the grades for the Awards of Excellence.

If you're attending Algoma from outside Canada, you won't be left in the dark! Algoma University offers an array of scholarships for international students. Most of the awards are based on your recent grades, so if you've got strong academics, you could be eligible for an amazing scholarship.
