You've probably heard that New Zealand has one of the world's lowest rates of COVID-19 infection. While true, this is far from the best thing the small island nation has going for it when it comes to studying abroad!

Chiropractic education recognized around the world

New Zealand College of Chiropractic offers a Bachelor of Chiropractic degree that gives you hands-on experience right from your first semester. You'll start out with a focus on health sciences basics critical to any wellness practitioner, including mainstay chiropractic techniques and the philosophy behind the discipline.

In the upper years of your degree, you'll be a part of the College's cutting-edge chiropractic centre, sharpening your skills on real patients. You'll learn about building a practice of your own and take part in community outreach programs — and even head overseas, if you're interested.

The College boasts renowned professors, lecturers, and mentors, from New Zealand and around the world. They'll share their years of chiropractic experience with you so you're ready to begin practicing your discipline the day you graduate. Your degree is recognized in Canada, if you want to return home — and elsewhere if you don't!

Three crucial pillars

New Zealand College of Chiropractic teaches three pillars that together comprise a well-rounded chiropractic education.

Philosophy: the "why"

Understanding the chiropractor's role in maintenance of good health is the first step to developing your skills. The College takes a vitalistic approach to chiropractic.

Art: the "how"

You'll learn the skills and techniques needed for effective practice from industry leaders — right from day one.

Science: the "what"

The College curriculum is derived from research and evidence-based practice. As new chiropractic techniques are developed, the College introduces updated teaching methods so you're always studying the latest progress in the field.

Studying in New Zealand

Auckland is the most populous city in New Zealand. It's a beautiful urban landscape in the north of the country, home to about 1.5 million people.

As a student, you'll have free access to COVID-19 testing and treatment, should you need it. You'll need to quarantine for fourteen days on arrival, just as you would in Canada, and you'll need a student visa before arriving.

As a bonus, you're eligible to apply for provincial and federal student loans in Canada that can be used at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic! You may even qualify for a scholarship (pdf: see page 22).
