Bangor Employability Award (BEA)

Bangor University is committed to improving its graduates' long term employability prospects and has been ranked in the top 10 in the UK for Job Prospects (WhatUni 2019). The Bangor Employability Award (BEA) offers free opportunities to gain and enhance the skills and experiences employers want and need, based on up-to-date research. BEA graduates earn a certificate, a transcript and formal verification of their extracurricular activities from Bangor University, so they can offer solid evidence of their accomplishments. All students are automatically enrolled for the Bangor Employability Award.

Internships

We are committed to improving the future job prospects and employability of our students; our internship schemes will provide opportunities for undergraduate students to gain paid, graduate level work experience in the University's Academic Schools and Service Departments. All undergraduate students are invited to apply for an internship, and full support is provided throughout the application and interview processes.

Many courses offered at Bangor University help strengthen career prospects through work placements, industry partnerships and professional accreditations. 93% of our graduates progressed to employment or further study within six months of graduation (as per the latest DLHE Survey).

Earning authentic work experience while in school is one of the best ways you can sharpen your resumé and begin networking with employers of influence in your industry. You'll also get the chance to experiment if a given field is right for you, all while picking up critical, cutting-edge skills that will help you stand out from the crowd.
