A student prepares her admissions road map for Humber College.

Follow these easy steps and you'll be well on your way to a great education at Humber College!

Step 1: Research programs

Begin with researching which program interests you the most. You can use Humber's Find Your Match career tool to explore your options. Once you have a rough idea of the programs that interest you, visit the program page. You can also book an appointment with one of our program advisors who will be happy to help you. Come visit us and take a campus tour — get yourself familiar with the campus and the areas around it.

Step 2: Apply to Humber

Applications to Humber are made through ontariocolleges.ca. Make sure you pay close attention to deadlines. The equal consideration deadline is February 1 and many programs have a limited number of seats available. Also, if English is not your first language and your previous education has been conducted in another language, then you might be required to take an English Proficiency exam.

Step 3: Track your application

You can easily track your application though the MyHumber portal. You can check the list of programs that you applied for and also the status of your application. Under the "Go to Events" tab, you can also find out if you are required to take any additional tests or provide more information.

Step 4: Receive your offer

Wonderful! You've got an offer. Now check carefully the type of offer you have received — it may be a conditional offer. This means wait! You're not quite there yet. You still have a number of steps to follow. But don't worry, we're here to help you — just reach out and contact us.

Step 5: Confirm your offer

Don't forget to go to ontariocolleges.ca and confirm your offer. The deadline to accept offers is May 1, so make sure that you don't miss that deadline. Refer to your offer letter for the confirmation deadline.

Step 6: Pay your tuition deposit

It's important to pay your non-refundable tuition deposit, or the full first semester tuition fees on time, or you may lose your spot. To learn more about the tuition deposits, methods of payment, tax receipts etc., visit the fees page — you'll find everything you need to know. If you're planning to pay your tuition with the help of OSAP or would like to find out how to apply for scholarships and bursaries, visit the financial services website or come to the office in person.

Step 7: Register for classes

Once you have taken care of all the required testing, transfer credits, Humber Photo ID card, and residence etc., you should be all prepared to register for your classes on MyHumber. You can only do so after you have paid your tuition deposit, though. Registration schedules and a how-to guide can be found here, to help you complete your registration.

Step 8: Orientation

Orientation is not mandatory, but we recommend you attend! This will help you learn about your professors, find your classes, meet your classmates and get comfortable with your surroundings. Also, it's a great way to get involved on campus and see what services are available to you.

We hope to see you at Humber soon!
