A group of diverse students studies on a sunny day at Humber College.

Many students come to campus, complete their program, graduate, and never check out the many fun spots and incredible architecture all around them. To make things easier for you to see it all, we've compiled a list of things you can do at the North and Lakeshore Campuses during your years at Humber.

Lift your Mood Up with a Mood Walk

Having a bad day, missing family, or just feel like going out for a walk with a group? Join our community members at the North campus, go for a walk and spend some time outdoors. The Mood Walk program features three regular weekly walks, so you can find a time that works for you. You can either go on a Monday at 1:10 p.m., on Wednesday at 12:10 p.m., or on a Friday at 11:00 a.m. Find out more here. Of course, you could always go on all three!

Humber Arboretum

A beautiful botanical garden and natural 250-acre area of Humber Arboretum, where you can hang out with your friends, read a book, and spend some time with nature ? and if you're lucky, you just might witness a wedding photoshoot. The Humber Arboretum, situated on the North Campus, also serves as a public garden, conservation area and educational centre. It offers many learning opportunities in the form of workshops like gardening and beekeeping. You can enjoy some activities during your free time, or you can always boost your resum? with some co-curricular work.

Centre for Technology Innovation (CTI) North Campus

Visit the new Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation (CTI). Not only can you enjoy a tour of the new 93,000 square foot facility, built to inspire innovation, support skills development and promote science, but you can also learn how Humber is transforming industry, community and education. Take pictures of the beautiful architecture and share them with your friends! The building, located on Humber's North Campus, doesn't have traditional classrooms. Its goal instead is to mend the gap between education and real-world experience making it a special and unique facility.

History of the Lakeshore Campus

Did you know that Humber's Lakeshore Campus was initially the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital? It closed in 1979 after operating for 89 years. The campus has tremendous history and is a favourite spot for many film productions. If you're a movie lover, a history buff, or would simply like to learn more about the campus, then visit the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre and find out more about the tours. The Film History Project has also created a list of all the productions filmed at Lakeshore Grounds over the years. The tours of the tunnels, and an optional visit to the un-renovated attics, are a great way to brush up on history lessons. Find out more about tours here.

Of course, these are just a few of the amazing highlights Humber College has to offer. Come, explore with us!
