The countdown is on to the January deadline for university applications and lucky for you, there are many accessible resources as you walk through the process. This includes tapping into the expertise of your high school guidance counsellors to seek advice on all the opportunities available to you.

Hopefully you’ve done some online research, visited university websites, collected some brochures, toured your top choices, and attended a few open house events. Nothing confirms your choice of university better than taking part in an on-site guided campus tour so that you experience the campus vibe first-hand.

Some of you have known what you want to pursue for a while, but it’s not unusual to be unsure about what program to take. We encourage you to keep your options open by taking a range of electives, which will allow you to explore your interests, discover your passions, and help you determine a suitable program direction. You’ll find that the admissions chart in our student guide is a helpful reference that clearly outlines the required courses you’ll need to get into your program of choice. Remember, each school and program has their own admission requirements, so make sure you look at each one individually. If at any point you feel stuck, the Office of the Registrar at the school to which you are applying is a great resource.

Additional good news is that the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre – the online site used when applying to any Ontario University – has simplified the process for all applicants. Keep in mind, the deadline to submit your application is January 17, 2018.

Best of luck with your applications; we hope to see you on campus!
