Applying to universities is a big step and one that you want to do well. Here’s some advice on how to make the application process to Redeemer as seamless as possible:

1. Know the deadlines: It pays to apply early! Literally. Students who complete their application before December 15th will receive $250 for textbooks when you enrol in September. Better yet -- if you apply before January 31, you won’t have to pay the $40 application fee. Tip: The earlier you apply, the more prepared you’ll be to apply for financial aid before February 28th.

2. How to write a good “admission essay”: Rather than an essay, we ask our students to write a 250-word personal statement about how your Christian faith impacts your life and your desire to study at Redeemer University College. Take your time and be honest -- there’s no right or wrong answer, we just want to get to know you a bit better! Tip:. It’s always a good idea to save a copy of your personal statement on your computer just in case you need it again!

3. Apply on our website: Redeemer is a privately funded, publicly accredited university which means our application process is a little different from bigger universities. Students can apply to Redeemer directly on our website at www.redeemer.ca/apply. Once your application is complete, you will hear back regarding your admission within 2-6 weeks.

As always, our admissions team is happy to help you through the process. You can email them at any time at admissions@redeemer.ca. To learn more about our programs or admission requirements, you can always refer to our website!
