UPEI Offers Over 700 Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards to Students!

UPEI offers guaranteed academic scholarships for students in each year of study ranging from $500 to $3,000 every year.

It is winter time in Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest province located on the east coast of the country. Situated in the capital city of Charlottetown, the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) offers students with unique opportunities both academically and culturally.

UPEI offers over 100 programs in Arts, Sciences, and Business and is home to Atlantic Canada’s only Veterinary Medicine Program. We are pleased to offer students smaller class sizes, interdisciplinary learning opportunities, and a warm and welcoming environment to live and study.

UPEI offers the Celebrating Student Achievement scholarship program which focuses strongly on student achievement and leads to more scholarships being available to more students. Students entering UPEI from high school will receive a guaranteed entrance scholarships based on their Grade 12 average.

80.00 – 84.99%	$500
85.00% - 89.99%	$1,000
90.00% - 94.99%	$2,000
95.00% - 100.00%	$3,000

In addition, any undergraduate UPEI student who did not receive a Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship but who is entering his/her second, third, or fourth year and achieved an average that exceeds 80 per cent during the previous academic year, will be able to join the program and receive an Academic Excellence Award. Students entering their first year studies at UPEI will still be eligible for 54 named, donation-based entrance scholarships.
