​This graduate certificate program builds on students’ previous education and work experience and introduces all facets of health care administration from a practical perspective. Students will be enabled to acquire the necessary skills to manage administrative tasks in clinics and hospitals.

With the support of an experienced faculty, students will be guided through a program designed to give a comprehensive understanding of the principles and techniques considered essential for employment in this sector.

Once students receive their St. Lawrence College Certificate, they are eligible to apply for their Post Graduate Work Permit.

Graduates of the program would be suited for careers in entry or middle management positions in a wide variety of health care settings such as:

  • Hospitals;
  • Clinics;
  • Nursing homes;
  • Doctor’ Offices;
  • Physicians’ offices;
  • Private facilities;
  • Home health care agencies

Students must have the following academic requirements to be eligible:

    • Secondary School Diploma or mature student status;
    • Minimum 2 or 3 – year Diploma or Degree from a recognised institution;

 

Applicants from non-English speaking countries must achieve the minimum requirements of:

  • Overseas applications from China, India, Pakistan, Vietnam and the Philippines (SDS): Overall Academic IELTS score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0 issued in past 24 months
  • All other applicants: Overall Academic IELTS score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0 issued in past 24 months
