University Canada West is located in beautiful Victoria at the southern tip of Vancouver Island. At UCW, we have a new vision for university education. As the first private sector university, UCW is established under new British Columbia legislation. Our vision of education is one where every university student succeeds in class and in the real world after graduation.

Although the approach to this university education is new, it is based on the same stringent standards as found in Canada’s other universities. The school has authority to grant degrees from the British Columbia Minister of Advanced Education. Further, the academic programs are assessed and monitored by the Minister’s Degree Quality Assessment Board and we have our own internal programs of course, teaching, and degree assessments to ensure that they meet rigorous standards of quality and excellence. The professors are devoted to teaching and to every student’s success.

UCW offers unique accelerated undergraduate and graduate programs that allow the student to complete degrees in months or ever years, sooner than it would be possible at other institutions. The school promises small class sizes with no more than 50 students in a class. Also, small learning teams of five to six students who work together and support each other are always present.

Further, UCW has specialized courses in Business, Arts/Multimedia, and Science courses.
