Brandon University Residence welcomes Assiniboine students in modern residences located approximately three kilometres from Assiniboine. There are good bus connections between Brandon University and Assiniboine Community College. For further details on the Residence contact the Brandon University Housing Office at 727-7394.

Incoming Students
Student advising, peer tutoring, and learning supports are all available at the Student Services Centre.
Career Planning
The Career Centre is in Student Services, Room 115. Students can visit for the following: copies of local and provincial job postings, a career library, Brandon Sun and Winnipeg Free Press, free literature and resource materials, information and applications for various government employment programs. Make an appointment for assistance to review a resume or cover letter, interview preparation, or questions about a job search. Throughout the year, Student Services will host special events including STEP registration and "Meet the Employer Day."

Assiniboine is home to the Assiniboine Community College Cougars. The varsity sports program includes men's and women's volleyball.
Activities

Social Events include: Mardi Gras Masquerade, Back in the Saddle (back to school after Christmas break), Son of Sun of a Beach (social), Freeze Your Rocks Off Curling.
Clubs
The Ambassador’s Club does a variety of volunteer work for the College and several charitable organizations in and around Brandon. The Agriculture & Environment Club is dedicated to the student’s education and participation in community events. The Students’ Association works with the many different clubs and sub-associations that are established throughout the College to ensure that every student group has an opportunity to have their special and different needs met. This is a very diverse College with diverse student needs. Any group or class wishing to form a club at Assiniboine Community College is requested to meet the Vice President Academic or Executive Director at the Student’s Association Office for details.
Information Technology
Students may use the computers in the library computer centre, logging in with their own college account, to search the Internet, and to use various computer programs available within the College.
Cultural
Throughout the school year, students are encouraged to participate in the many cultural events taking place on campus. They include: visiting elders program, feasts, elder/student Christmas Luncheon, traditional craft sessions, family BBQ, and guest speakers (Aboriginal artists, leaders, role models).
Special Services
Assiniboine Community College recognizes that some students have special needs that require physical adaptations to the facilities, or special supports and/or accommodations in their academic program, to allow them fair and equal access to education. Student Services works with students and with the college to ensure that students’ individual needs are met in a pro-active, respectful, and confidential manner. Aboriginal Education Counsellors are also available. Child care is available through Assiniboine Kiddie Kollege.
Campus Tours
College tours are available to high school groups, parents, prospective students, and the community at large. Requests for tours need to booked at least two weeks in advance. The tours give individuals a chance to experience the physical setting of the college and to observe and ask questions about specific programs. Instructors are available to reply to questions and to demonstrate activities in their divisions. Tours can include a session with student advisors, to provide more information on programs, admission requirements, procedures, funding etc. Requests for a tour can be made by calling Barb at 204-725-8722.
