|Description:||The Bachelor of Applied Business Administration - Accounting is a four-semester, post-diploma, applied degree program developed to prepare Albertans for a changing economy. Students explore concepts and models often associated with effective leadership and they develop leadership skills to enhance their own potential. They engage in an in-depth study of six major areas of advanced financial accounting, as well as in-depth treatment of current issues and problems in financial accounting. Students also learn to use accounting information in planning and managerial decision making. Auditing standards and procedures are introduced, and the principles, concepts, and application of Canadian federal income tax legislation are examined. Graduates leave the program with the accounting expertise and managerial skills needed in financial operations management.|
