Business Administration - Retail Management

Program Information
School: Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology
Degree: Diploma
Field of Study: Business Administration and Management, General
Consumer Merchandising/Retailing Management
Description: A career in retail management demands a specific set of skills and competencies, from balancing receipts to buying and managing merchandise. With Canadian retail sales on the rise in many sectors, the skills and industry knowledge you’ll gain in the Business Administration - Retail Management program will position you for success in this competitive environment.

At the School of Business Management (SBM), you’ll spend the first four semesters building a practical grounding in contemporary management theory. These four semesters are common to all SBM programs. In your final two semesters the focus shifts to building retail-specific skills, including buying, merchandise and supply chain management and customer service. Your learning is complemented by an in-depth exploration of current retail strategy, store operation, finance and technology.

The program curriculum offers innovative approaches to learning outside of the classroom, including seminars, value added presentations, case analyses, online business simulations, and external consulting projects.
