Description: Through a combination of class, work experience and guidance in independent living, gain self-confidence and grow as a person. Learn to handle a variety of work, social and independent living issues. Get ready to join the work world, and maybe live on your own.

Learn to balance your personal life including budgeting and banking, apartment living, meal planning and preparation. Also develop healthy lifestyle skills through wellness and recreational activities. Prepare for the work world through classes in decision making, interpersonal communications, literacy/numeracy, and basic computer skills.

Admission Requirements
Prerequisites:

You must be at least 18 years of age, have a mild developmental disability and provide two letters of reference from previous schools or employers. You must also attend a full-day orientation session with the Transitional Vocational staff. This includes various types of assessments and an interview.
