How every student’s best resource for studying is lying right under their noses.

If you’re anything like the average university student, studying isn’t one of your favourite things. A tedious, time-consuming activity, many students struggle to find the best way to optimize their studying to ensure the best marks possible.

What they don’t realize is that their biggest and best resource is right in front of them. What is this resource, you ask? Why, it’s simple: university!

Many students overlook their universities as a key source for academic aid (probably because they see it as the enemy making them study in the first place!) but in reality, universities have a vast amount of resources available to help every student succeed.

The Student Success Office at Waterloo, in particular, works tirelessly to provide help as they can to every student, whether they’re having academic challenges or they’re looking for advice on starting their own business.

Students can drop by the office at any point in the day or book an appointment to meet with a Success Coach one-on-one to discuss issues they are having with studying and their grades. Students can also attend informal study sessions to give themselves time and space in their day to specifically study for a course or work on an assignment without any distractions.

Every faculty also has academic advisors who are ready to answer students’ questions about programs, courses, grades, and the like.

Remember, your university is here to help you achieve success! If you are ever feeling stressed or overwhelmed, universities have services that will help you get back on the right track.

The University of Waterloo provides many services that help students stay physically and emotionally healthy while pursuing their academic goals.

So don’t worry about studying! Your university’s got your back!
