At some point in your university career, you might find yourself considering scholarships and financial aid. The task, at first, might seem daunting. However, by doing your research and by keeping your goals in mind, the payoff can be extremely rewarding – every little bit helps!

At the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), we want to help you succeed in achieving your post-secondary goals. That’s why our awards are aimed for students of all years – whether you are a grade 11 student beginning to consider universities, or completing your final year at UNBC, we try to help assist students in obtaining the funds necessary to finance their education. At UNBC, award eligibility not only includes academic excellence, but also considers merit, leadership, and financial need.

The Awards and Financial Aid Office is a tremendous asset for students. The Awards Office has developed a comprehensive online Scholarship, Bursary, and Award Guide, so students may view the different award opportunities offered by UNBC. Students may log onto their Student Online Services account to receive additional information on award eligibility, deadlines, specific application instructions, and even submit their application!

But that’s not all. The Awards Office is also a great resource for connecting students to non-UNBC opportunities, such as ScholarshipsCanada and Studentawards. These external opportunities will match your profile to applicable available awards, and send reminder summaries so you’ll never forget a deadline! These awards are for everyone, so consider applying today.

If you have any questions along the way, please feel free to check out the Awards and Financial Aid Frequently Asked Questions page,or contact our experts at awards@unbc.ca – they would be happy to assist.
