Find Your Place at the University of Calgary

By University of Calgary Modified on January 14, 2014

When you’re here, anything and everything is possible!

Save

Ski the Rocky Mountains. Become a Students’ Union representative. Volunteer in New Orleans. Take over the airwaves with CJSW 90.9 FM. Join a dodgeball team.

At the University of Calgary you can nurture a lifelong interest, find a new passion, and prepare yourself for emerging career paths. When you’re here, anything and everything is possible!

Enjoy the Outdoors

With an extensive urban trail system and the Rocky Mountains at our doorstep, it’s easy to see why Calgarians spend so much time outdoors. Once you’re here, you’ll want to get out and explore everything our world-class location has to offer.

Engage with Your Community

From helping rebuild homes for Hurricane Katrina survivors in New Orleans, to visiting inner-city Calgary to learn about homelessness, our Centre for Community-Engaged Learning will introduce you to community leadership and volunteerism.

Get to Know Your Students’ Union

Cinemania, Faculty Wars, Nog Fest and the ever-popular Bermuda Shorts Day are just a few of the events our Students’ Union (SU) hosts every year. The SU also provides funding for many services and activities that enhance student life on campus, including nearly 300 student clubs!

Broadcast Yourself

If you’re an audiophile, consider volunteering with CJSW 90.9 FM, Canada’s largest campus and community radio station. If you’d rather spread the news you can work on The Gauntlet, our student-run newspaper. And if you’re passionate about video broadcasting, our community television station NUTV needs your skills.
