There’s a new way to experience student life on campus at the University of Northern British Columbia and you’re invited!

UNBC has its first-ever Campus Correspondent, Lukas Bosch, an incoming first year student from Regina, Saskatchewan. Lukas will be blogging about his life at UNBC throughout the 2013/2014 academic year. Lukas was named the Northern Exposure Award recipient and Campus Correspondent following the end of a successful social media campaign that saw 27 videos submitted to the contest, with more than 13,000 votes cast and 46,000 video views from across Canada. You can follow Lukas at http://blogs.unbc.ca/unbc-campus-correspondent

Lukas, like many first-year students, will begin university studies by attending Orientation on Monday, September 3rd. This year’s Orientation is titled “Experience it!”- an apt theme for those participating, or following Lukas’ blog and twitter feed. Orientation will begin with a Pump-it-Up-Rally where students, faculty, and staff can display their school spirit. The day will be filled with interactive group activities, academic sessions, as well as many opportunities to make new friends.

Experiencing Orientation with Lukas is only the beginning. Lukas will be writing about many opportunities and events open to all UNBC students throughout the year. September will be an especially busy month, with the start of the Men’s and Women’s Soccer season, an Alumni and Timberwolves Basketball game, Clubs Day, and Shinerama. Visit Lukas’ blog and become a part of the experience at UNBC. It is a great way to find out firsthand about Canada’s Green University.
