$20,000 to Launch Your Education

Size matters. With a student population of only 3,700, the University of Guelph-Humber awarded more than 1,400 scholarships and bursaries in 2012-2013 to new and returning students. You don’t have to be in Business to do the math: over 35% of our students received scholarships or bursaries!

In 2012-2013, more than $2.3 million was awarded to University of Guelph-Humber students through scholarships and bursaries. Our new annual Founders’ Academic Merit Scholarship, launched in 2012 to celebrate our 10th anniversary, awards 10 incoming students with $20,000! Milena DiFeo from Bolton, Ontario (photo), was presented with her Founders’ Scholarship in April 2013. The scholarship directly funds tuition and is divided over each recipient’s four-year program at the University. Developed to recognize leadership, extracurricular activities and academic achievement the Founders’ Award is an exciting way to start your post-secondary years. Tell us about yourself and you may receive $500 to enrich your education. Each year, 20 students are awarded our Student Profile Scholarship of $500 based on the online Student Profile they submit. Describe what you are involved in outside of class and in the community; scholarships recognize students who exhibit leadership and exceptional citizenship.
