Career Description
Shippers and receivers determine the method / arrangement of shipping, and prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices, and other shipping documents, by hand or by computer.
Duties May Include
Packing and labelling goods containers / crates and recording the contents, by hand or by computer, overseeing loading / unloading, inspecting and verifying incoming goods; rejecting damaged goods; and unpacking, coding, and routing goods to appropriate storage areas. They also maintain internal record-keeping systems, by hand or by computer, and operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment used to load / unload goods.
