GFT prepares pilots for the real world of aviation. GFT strategically located in Gander Newfoundland is well positioned as a flight training facility. GFT students experience four seasons. This proves to be beneficial because students experience real world weather conditions and can avoid the label “sunshine pilots”. Today, GFT is well known as one of the top flight schools in Canada providing a full range of Professional Flight Training Programs in both fixed-wing and helicopter. Plans are now progressing to incorporate an international training component. Additionally, certifications and approvals have been obtained and the training has been expanded to include other aerospace applications such as Advanced Bonding and Composite Technician and various airline and aviation safety training programs.
