Your Health Sciences Journey

The BSHS program provides a strong foundation of general education, health sciences, and core competence for a range of non-clinical and clinical health careers. In this four-year program, you can choose between two tracks to align your educational path with your goals and experience. All students take the same first-year curriculum, so you have time to explore and gather information before choosing a track.

Track 1: Bachelor of Health Sciences — General

Combine a broad view of the healthcare industry with a deep dive into specific areas.

  • ideal for undecided majors who need more exposure to the healthcare field before choosing a specific program
  • personalized academic and career advising help you find the right career path
  • equips you for a non-clinical career as a health-unit or patient-care coordinator in a hospital, clinic, or a doctor’s office
  • prepares you for graduate studies in a variety of postbaccalaureate healthcare programs by ensuring completion of all prerequisites for successful admission

Track 2: Bachelor of Health Sciences — Health Education and Promotion

Teach future healthcare leaders by becoming a certified health educator.

  • graduates of this track are eligible to sit for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam
  • provides an additional credential in health education and promotion for any clinical profession such as nursing or dental hygiene

If you have not yet earned your bachelor’s degree, we offer accelerated undergraduate-to-graduate options. We also have options for those who already hold an undergraduate degree and want to earn a master’s or doctoral degree.

Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences — Acupuncture Pathway (BS/MAc)

Spend the first three years at MCPHS-Boston before transitioning to our Worcester campus for the duration of the program.

Bachelor of Science in Health Science — Occupational Therapy Pathway (BS/MSOT)

Five-year, full-time program on the Boston and Manchester campuses.

Bachelor of Science in Health Science — Physical Therapy Pathway (BS/DPT)

Spend the first three years at MCPHS-Boston before transitioning to our Worcester campus for the duration of the program.

Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences — Degree Completion

Study full time or part time and choose a concentration in public health or health education.

Master of Science in Health Sciences

Complete this part-time online program in as little as two years.
