Profile

Nipawin Bible College values the Bible and spiritual growth through strategic partnership with the community and local believers. Nipawin encourages evangelism and missions to cultivate compassion for the lost in an educational context that actively incorporates sharing the gospel, in both local and global contexts. Nipawin believes the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be inerrant and the verbally inspired Word of God, the complete revelation of his will for the salvation of man, and the supreme and final authority in faith, doctrine, and life. Further, Nipawin believes in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, eternal in being, identical in nature, equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Acts 5:3 and 4; Matthew 28:18 and 19; and John 10:30. We believe in the personality of Satan and other evil spirit beings as the enemies of God, the saints, and the holy angels. Isaiah 14:12 to 17; Ezekiel 28:11 to 19; and 2 Corinthians 4:3 and 4.

Sports

NBC provides ample opportunity for participation on school teams. Team sports include basketball, hockey, soccer (outdoor and indoor), and volleyball. These teams compete with local teams and/or other colleges.

Activities

Throughout the school year, regular chapel services are conducted four times per week and a Missions Conference is held each November. Outstanding Bible teachers, missionary displays, and special music are some of the conference features. Conference visitors are welcome to take in any of the sessions and events. The Student Ministry program provides practical ministry experience for all students. Ministry opportunities include Sunday school teaching, Bible clubs, youth ministry, visitation, preaching, senior's ministry, music, drama, etc. Such ministries provide an excellent opportunity to reach out to others and put classroom training to use. Students with musical and drama interests will find a variety of opportunities for involvement and development. Public ministry groups include a choir and smaller music teams. Students with drama talents may be asked to join a drama team. These teams conduct weekend ministries and may also go on a one and a half week tour during Reading Break on behalf of the school.

Clubs

A variety of student groups and committees are formed each year. Students may have opportunity to serve in one of these committees either through elections or appointment. Aside from assisting in the administration of various areas, they are a good way of developing leadership skills. The committees include Student Council, Yearbook Committee, Chapel Committee, Reception and Decoration, and Sports and Social Committee.

Cultural

Every few years, students have the opportunity of joining an NBC mission’s team to experience missions firsthand and to impact the world for Christ. Teams have gone out to Honduras, Japan, Burkina Faso, Bulgaria, Peru, and Bolivia. Students gain a deeper burden for world evangelism and many find it helpful in discerning God's will for their lives. The hands on ministry also puts classroom theory into practice.
