Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Columbia College offers senior secondary completion and university transfer courses at the first and second year levels.

First year university programs offered include Business, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Communication, Liberal Arts and a second year program is offered in Business. All courses are widely recognized for transfer credit by major universities in Canada and elsewhere.

Areas of Expertise

The college has a proud history of high school completion and University transfer programs. Recently, ESL programs have been added to meet the needs of the international student population in Vancouver.

Homestay programs are available to students. Students must complete the homestay application form in order to qualify. Costs are $750 per month ($27 per day).

Activities

Most activities take place at lunch hour, after classes or in some cases on weekends. There are a wide variety of sport-related activities to choose from: Soccer, Basketball, Softball, Ice Hockey, Floor Hockey, Volleyball and Badminton. Further, there are student lounges that are open all day for students and have recreational games and areas to store and eat food.

Information Technology

There are four main computer labs at Columbia College that have a wide variety of advanced computer programs such as Microsoft office C++, Visual studio,Visual Basic and Java.

Special Services

Counselling services exist for course selection for university and international programs. Further, orientations are provided to introduce new students to the academic and social aspects of the college

International Involvement

The majority of the College's students are from overseas. The College draws students from over 30 countries, the majority being from countries of the Pacific Rim.

Other

Counselling services, accommodation and homestay services, orientation and special services for overseas students, library, tutorial centre, fitness centre and first-aid room with a nurse.
