DescriptionCommunity Development is a three-year interdisciplinary degree that includes required courses in Community, Economic, and Social Development (CESD) and Social Work. Community Development Practitioners work alongside people in communities to effect change by helping to identify common concerns and solutions, and build relationships with organizations and those in positions of power. This program includes a 150-hour field placement in third-year that will link community development concepts, values, and theories to practice. Our program has a special focus on northern, rural, remote, and Indigenous communities.
