DescriptionThe first two years in the Business program at Lakehead University will provide you with a comprehensive introduction to core business management subjects: Management; Financial and Managerial Accounting; Human Resources Management; Microcomputers; Marketing; Production; Finance and Organizational Behaviour. After your second year, you will have two options of continuing: One additional year of study - earn a general Business Administration degree; Two additional years of study - earn a specialized Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Throughout both programs, your learning experience will be from the practicing manager's point of view: combining traditional lecture methods, student seminars, formal presentations, and class discussions of management cases and experiential exercises. Opportunities to learn to work effectively in small group-work settings will assist you in your personal and professional development. There is a co-operative education option in the Human Resources major. To be considered for this competitive program, you must have satisfactorily completed all courses required for Year 3 of the Honours Bachelor of Commerce.
