DescriptionThroughout the Integrated Health and Social Care degree, we aim to support you to review, debate and evaluate different health and welfare systems, as well as current debates and developments in this academic area.

You will research the history of health and social welfare provision, critically examine a range of professional roles, analyse global health issues and government policy, as well as debate a range of significant social welfare issues such as disability, equality and social justice; migration and asylum; health and the life-course and the integration of health and social welfare services. This degree also aims to equip you with an understanding of the issues and tensions of working across professional and organisational boundaries and why better integration between health and social care can lead to higher standards of care and service delivery.
