| Description | Do you have a sense that there are a lot of things wrong with the world? That a lot of people need help? At the heart of Sociology and Social Work is a desire to understand the world and to make it a better place. As Christians, the centre of our calling is to minister to the “least of these” as Christ’s servants in this world. The great thing about studying Sociology and Social Work at Redeemer is you never know where God will take you and who God will put in your life.
The Sociology-Social Work majors combine the overview of social relations and social problems which sociology studies with the applied intervention strategies of social work. It also borrows from other fields such as psychology and political science, in order to explore all the variables that affect human development.
