DescriptionCambrian College's two-year Business - Accounting program provides you with the essential theoretical and practical skills required for entry-level positions in the accounting industry. Students will be able to choose between two options. One option is to take the mainstream general education courses, while the other option allows students to gain awareness and understanding of some of the issues and opportunities in First Nations organizations. Following a first year of common curriculum shared by all accounting and business students, you will be immersed in accounting principles and practices that will prepare you for the realities of a career in accounting.

This program will be delivered utilizing both traditional classroom and online learning. It has been designed to accommodate students who want to continue their studies towards a professional accounting designation. These students may opt for one additional year in the Business Administration - Accounting Program to obtain additional credits towards a Certified General Accountant's (CGA) designation. Students may also receive credits towards the Certified Aboriginal Financial Management (CAFM) designation. In order to obtain advanced standing in the credits for either the CGA or CAFM designation, students must achieve a 70% average or more in certain courses.
