Description | Nurses working within the adult field will have the opportunity to develop diverse and rewarding careers in a range of environments. Registered nurses who hold adult field registration care for the needs of people across the lifespan, who have varied and often multiple health needs. You will be able to experience diversity during placements in clinical areas where adult nurses practice, which might include: acute sector general and specialist medical and surgical nursing; critical care nursing (intensive and high dependency care, emergency department, theatres and recovery); and community nursing in the home environment and primary care.
Adult nursing offers a range of interesting and worthwhile careers in healthcare with opportunities available to develop skills and knowledge in diverse areas, such as: leadership, advanced clinical practice, education or research. | | |
