DescriptionThe BSc Physical Earth Science degree scheme combines physical geography with physical aspects of geology, and will suit you if you have an interest in physical aspects of the Earth. Students take modules in physical geography and geology at Level One. At Levels Two and Three, students study compulsory modules (research methods, approaches to geography, field course, dissertation) that focus on physical geography. They undertake additional geological fieldwork and a module investigating the geological record of environmental change. At Level Three, students undertake a dissertation and a research frontiers essay or work placement with a geological theme. Optional modules at Levels Two and Three are chosen from those covering physical geography.
