DescriptionCSU's Bachelor of Creative Arts and Design (Fine Art) is an integrated program, delivered jointly by Charles Sturt University and TAFE NSW Riverina Institute, Wagga Wagga. The fine art component is delivered by Riverina TAFE and the contextual and elective components are delivered by CSU. The TAFE component requires full-time on campus study at the Wagga Wagga or Albury TAFE campus; the CSU subjects can be studied on campus in Wagga Wagga or by distance education.
Electives include areas such as animation and visual effects, illustration, graphic design, photography, sound design and television production. Students undertake professional exhibition practice throughout their program of study. To relate their studio work to the wider world of visual arts practice, students also study art history and visual culture subjects. On campus students will have access to individual work spaces and excellent studio accommodation with access seven days a week.

Students commence their study by enrolling full-time at Riverina TAFE. After six months of study at TAFE they apply to CSU and enrol in the Bachelor of Creative Arts and Design (Fine Art). Students study concurrently at TAFE and CSU for a further 18 months, graduating with the Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts after a total of two years of study at TAFE. After an additional year of study at CSU they graduate with a Bachelor of Creative Arts and Design (Fine Art).
